Lost Time Injuries (LTI) are an industry recognised safety measure. The 7 year LTI-free milestone represents around 15 million man hours of LTI-free operations across the fleet, which means our officers and crew have not had to take time off due to any injury sustained at work since the vessels were delivered to Angola LNG.
Recognition plaques from Angola LNG Marketing Ltd. (“ALM”) (who manage the fleet on behalf of Angola LNG) were presented to the Master, officers and crew of each vessel by representatives of OpCo’s senior management during their loading calls at the Angola LNG plant in Soyo.
Angola LNG holds health and safety standards along with the well-being of all its staff at the heart of the way it operates. Our LTI-free record is testament to having successfully embedded a culture of safety across the Angola LNG fleet and we are proud to have safely delivered cargoes all over the world, from China and Korea to Canada, India, South America and Europe.
ALM’s Chief Executive Officer commented: ‘Safe, efficient and environmentally-responsible vessel operations are a key part of Angola LNG’s activities and its reputation as a reliable global LNG seller. We are grateful for the commitment and the dedication of all those sailing the project’s vessels. We look forward to continued excellent safety and environmental performance being maintained for years to come.’
