Angola LNG vessels achieve 6 years LTI-free

Angola LNG’s seven dedicated vessels reached a six year LTI-free milestone between the end of 2017 and early January 2018 whilst safely delivering LNG to buyers all over the world.

On Friday, 3rd August 2018, the Angola LNG Leadership Team boarded the Sonangol Etosha at the Terminal, in Soyo, to present its Captain, Ashley Singleton, with a plaque to mark six years of Lost Time Injury Free operations which amounts to approximately 1.2 million man hours.

OpCo’s Operations Manager, Jimmy Jackson, commented “This milestone showcases Angola LNG’s focus on safety by all Angola LNG staff, including contractors and subcontractors. They ensure the vessels are able to navigate incident-free all the way from the Terminal in Soyo to their final destination and back.”

ALM’s Shipping Manager, Tony Spence, further added: “Angola LNG’s top priority is to deliver LNG safely to its global customers. Achieving six years Lost Time Injury-free is a great accomplishment by the Sonangol Etosha in supporting this priority. Our thanks and congratulations go to the vessel’s Master and crew in reaching this significant milestone.”
